Jeff Haynes, managing director and the city leader of the Trammell Crow Co Jeff Haynes, managing director and the city leader of the Trammell Crow Co.; Kevin Adams, co-chairman and president of CB Richard Ellis; and Mary Rosen Singer, president of Commercial Realty Group Inc., will participate in a panel discussion hosted by the Institute of Real Estate Management. The discussion is designed to update the group on the economic forecast and current marketing issues. Investigate the growth of real estate investment trusts and learn how the methods of securing real estate affect appraising at the Memphis-Tennessee Chapter of the Appraisal Institutes course "REITs and the Role of the Professional Appraiser" in the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Education Center. The course is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 22. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The course is approved for seven hours of Appraisal Institute continuing education credit. Cost is $175 for Appraisal Institute members and $225 for non-members. To register, call Linda Stubbs, 818-2421 The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors "Construction in Commercial Real Estate" course Wednesday has been approved for eight hours of continuing education credit by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission. The course is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Education Center.  Course cost is $75. David Houston, who is involved in SIOR and commercial real estate, will serve as instructor. Call 818-2421, to register. "CCIM Course 104: Investment Analysis" is 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 25-29 in the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Education Center. The course is designed to provide students with the knowledge needed to make sound decisions regarding every critical aspect of the acquisition and ownership of commercial investment property. The course has been approved for 37 hours of continuing education credit. Cost is $795 for CCIM candidates or $945 for non-candidates. To register, call Linda Stubbs, 818-2421. The annual Tennessee Association of Realtors convention is set for Oct. 3-8 at the Regal Riverfront Hotel in St. Louis. Many educational activities are planned for the meeting.
