Williams-Sonoma begins
third addition of Miss. plant
Williams-Sonoma has started construction of a 1.1-million-square-foot distribution facility on its campus in the Hewson-Olive Branch Distribution Center in Olive Branch, Miss.
The project marks Phase III of construction of the companys facility. The state-of-the-art addition will be used for distributing goods to Williams-Sonomas retail stores throughout the United States, as well as to its catalog and Internet customers.
The general contractor for the project is Phoenix-based The Hewson Co. This project marks the seventh project Hewson has completed for Williams Sonoma since 1983, for a total of 3.3 million square feet.
The company recently completed construction of Phases I and II of Williams-Sonomas Olive Branch Distribution facility, a $37 million project with a combined total of one million square feet.
Methodist Healthcare-Memphis Hospitals has opened a nurse recruitment office at 7730 Poplar Ave., Suite 3, in Germantown.
The office is located in the Germantown Village Square Center, across Poplar from Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare-Germantown in the space previously occupied by Methodists screening mammography center.
The new office gives Methodist a second location where nurses can apply for positions in its four adult Memphis hospitals. The nurse recruitment division also recruits for nursing support positions within the hospitals, including medical assistants, unit secretaries and patient transporters.
Methodists other recruitment office is located at Methodist Healthcare Central Hospital, at 1265 Union Ave.
"This new location offers convenience for people in Germantown, Collierville, Cordova and other parts of East Shelby County," said Donna Pope, administrative director of nurse recruitment.
The hours of operation for the Germantown office are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Trinity Ridge Partners II, a Tennessee general partnership, financed $1.8 million through Nashoba Bank, securing the loan with 4.3 acres of land on Trinity Road, according to a trust deed filed Wednesday in the Shelby County Registers Office.
Glasjar Funding, LP, financed $4.4 million through Chase Manhattan Bank, securing the loan with property at American Way and Cherry Road, according to a trust deed filed April 4.
Daco Corp., a Tennessee corporation, financed $2.9 million through Union Planters Bank, securing the loan with 28 acres at 5115-5135 Lamar Ave., according to a trust deed filed April 4.
Golden Corral Corp., a North Carolina corporation, purchased property at American Way and Perkins Road from Cactus Resort Properties for $1.8 million, according to a trust deed filed April 3.
