The Memphis Arts and The Center for Arts Education will host the Memphis Artists Financial Seminar from 7 p The Memphis Arts and The Center for Arts Education will host the Memphis Artists Financial Seminar from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. today at Playhouse on the Square. The seminar is designed to create a forum in which Memphis artists from all disciplines can gather and hear general discussion on financial topics such as personal taxes, estate planning and personal banking, and to allow participants to ask specific questions relating to these topics. Chip Marston and Liz Coleman of the Marston Group will discuss personal taxes. Gene Katz of Prudential Securities will discuss retirement planning and Angelia Allen will focus on budgeting and personal finance topics. Cost is $5, payable at the door. Kelley Jr. of First Tennessee Bank is the keynote speaker for the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics Alumni Chapters annual Career Day Luncheon, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Fogelman Executive Center. Tickets are $30. Proceeds benefit Fogelman College. Kelley is president of business financial services for First Tennessee. For information, call the U of M Alumni Center at 678-2586. Kyle Rote Jr., chief executive officer of Athletic Resource Management Inc., is the featured speaker at I-Day 2000, sponsored by the Greater Memphis Insurance Council. The daylong event begins at 8:30 a.m. April 6 at the Holiday Inn Select, formerly the Four Points Hotel, 2240 Democrat Road. Registration is $35 for reservations received before April 5, $40 after April 5 or on the day of the seminar or $10 for the afternoon session. On April 26, Smith & Nephew Orthopaedic Division will host the 48th annual luncheon, which salutes those in the administrative field. The Administrative Professionals Day Luncheon, sponsored by the Memphis Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, begins at noon at the Adams Mark Hotel, 959 Ridge Lake Blvd. The speaker is Larry Papasan, president or Smith & Nephew Inc. Orthopaedic Division, who will address the theme, ``Pioneering the Future. Cost is $20. Reservations must be made by April 17. For reservation information, call Linda Patton at 399-6300.
