Samuel Brackstone has been named assistant vice provost for extended programs at The University of Memphis. Brackstone previously was director of extended programs and public service at the university, and has served as director of The U of Ms Fogelman Executive Center.
Susan Stralka has been named chief executive officer and administrator of Baptist Rehabilitation Germantown. Stralka is former director of outpatient rehabilitation for Baptist Memorial Health Care regional rehabilitation services, and is a clinical instructor at The University of Tennessee-Memphis.
Mark J. Genereaux has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of Mark VII Transportation Co. Inc. Genereaux formerly was senior vice president of Mark VII Worldwide Logistics Inc. He holds a bachelors degree in geophysics from Texas Tech University, and is a graduate of the Aviation Officer Candidate School.
Dorothy L. Cleaves has joined Bank of America as client manager in its premier banking department. Cleaves joined the bank in 1986 as a personal banker, and holds a bachelors degree in business education from Tennessee State University and has completed the Mid South School of Banking Graduate Program at the University of Memphis.
Chandler, Ehrlich and Co. Inc., announces three promotions within its account service department:
Debbie Yen has been promoted to account manager. She has been with the company since July. Prior to joining Chandler, Ehrlich, she served as business manager at Rupert Yen Photography. Yen holds a bachelors degree in marketing from Arkansas State University.
Ashley Frazer has been promoted to account executive. Prior to joining the company, Frazer was regional admissions counselor for the University of Mississippi and an intern at Burson-Marsteller Public Relations in Washington, D.C. She holds a bachelors degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi.
April Johnson has been promoted to account executive. She joined Chandler Ehrlich in February 1999, and her prior experience includes an internship at Ketchum Public Relations in New York City. Johnson holds a bachelors degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Memphis.
Cooperative Retirement Services of America has added three new employees to its staff:
Kent M. Phillips rejoins the firm as vice president of finance. Prior to rejoining CRSA, Phillips served as senior vice president and controller of Torch Health Care Inc., of Irving, Texas.
Alexia L. Pozar joins the firm as financial analyst. She comes to CRSA from her position as chief financial officer with Kendal at Oberlin, of Oberlin, Ohio.
Suzanne Alford joins CRSA as vice president of health services. Her career experience includes 11 years working in direct nursing and health care.
