The American Cancer Society is seeking teams to participate in the 1999 Memphis Relay for Life, its signature fund-raising event. The relay will be held from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. June 4-5 at the Memphis University School, 6191 Park Ave. For more information, call 278-2091.

Mud Island River Park will reopen Saturday for the 1999 season. Park hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. Discounted season passes will be sold at the box office. For more information, call 576-7241.
The Ave Maria Home will host a reception and dinner in honor of the Rev. J. Leonard Oglesby at 5:30 p.m. April 18 at the Memphis Area Home Builders Association, 776 N. Germantown Parkway.
