Albert Cantu Appointed Terminix
Jeff Sanford was named president and chief executive officer of the Center City Commission. He has served in the position on an interim basis since June. Since 1988, he has been president of Jeff Sanford Co. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
Albert Cantu has been named president and chief operating officer of Terminix International. Cantu most recently was vice president of operations. He has a bachelors degree from the University of Memphis and a masters degree from the University of Tennessee.
Boyle Investment Co. has announced several promotions and new employees.
John Faquin and Kathy Pampuro have been promoted to vice president for Boyle. Pampuro is an office building leasing representative, and Faquin is the director of construction in Boyles retail development division.
Shellie Moses has been named property operations manager for Ridgeway Center.
Bradley Wilford has joined Boyle in the commercial sales and leasing department, Bayard Morgan has joined the land development department, and Anne Brand has joined Boyle as marketing director.
Kemp Conrad, account executive with Boyle Insurance Agency, has been elected to the board of the Insurors of Memphis.
Steve Hirsch was named senior vice president of marketing for the orthopaedic division of Smith & Nephew Inc. He joined the company in 1996 as the divisions vice president of marketing.
Jeff Schryver was promoted to senior vice president of research and development for the orthopaedic division of Smith & Nephew Inc. His most recent position was the divisions vice president of research and development.
Jean Mercer was promoted from senior corporate counsel to associate general counsel, litigation and employment, for Smith & Nephew Inc.
Bob Lucas was promoted from senior corporate counsel to associate general counsel, corporate and regulatory, for Smith & Nephew Inc.
Christopher H. Jackson has been named vice president and plant manager of Coors Brewing Co.s local facility. He formerly was vice president and general manager of Rocky Mountain Bottle Co., a Coors joint venture. He has a bachelors degree from the U.S. Military Academy and a masters degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
John McElroy has joined OConnor Kenny Partners Inc. as direct marketing director.
Gina T. Cummings has joined Rentenbach Constructors Inc. as manager of estimating.
Marie Williams has been appointed a community builder for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developments Tennessee state office. Williams most recently was director of homeless services for Catholic Charities.
Dr. C.B. Daniel has been named medical director of the Methodist Healthcare Extended Care Hospital. Daniel is a graduate of Rhodes College and the University of Tennessee. He has been in private practice since 1977 and served as chairman of the Critical Care Pathways Committee at Methodist-Central for the past four years.
Maj. Josef R. Hallatschek, deputy commander and deputy district engineer for the Memphis district of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has been promoted to lieutenant colonel.
Dr. R. Eugene Smith, vice president for business and finance for the University of Memphis, has been named the University of Memphis Societys Educator of the Year.
Linda M. Gibbs, head of the Hutchison School, recently was elected to the policy-making leadership of the Commission on Secondary and Middle Schools of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Victor A. Jarvis Sr. of M.S. Carriers and Jimmy K. Woodson of Roadway Express Inc. are two of 12 drivers selected for the 1999 Americas Road Team Captains. The award recognizes Jarvis more than 2 million accident-free miles during his 17-year career and Woodsons more than 3 million accident-free miles during his 33-year career.
