FDX Global Logistics Inc FDX Global Logistics Inc. announced several appointments. Debra A. Gray has been named vice president and chief financial officer. She previously was staff vice president of finance for the FDX information and logistics services division. Ami P. Kelley has been named vice president and general counsel. She formerly was vice president and general counsel of Caliber Logistics Inc. Charles B. Malone has been named vice president of sales, marketing and communications. Malone most recently was vice president of sales and marketing for FedExs air ground freight services division. Herman Morris Jr., president of Memphis Light, Gas and Water, was named chairman of the Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce. Other officers include chairman-elect Russell Gwatney of The Gwatney Cos., immediate past president Ken Plunk of Union Planters Bank, secretary and counsel Arnold Perl of Young & Perl, finance/administration Bob Hester of Arthur Anderson and president and chief executive officer Marc Jordan. Jamie Lucas has been promoted to director provisioning in West Tennessee for BellSouth. She formerly was area manager of special services. B. Ted Hammett has been named vice president of operations for Lamination Service Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Dr. Stephanie Storgion has been named chief of staff at Le Bonheur Childrens Medical Center. A pediatric intensivist, Storgion is associate medical director of Le Bonheurs Transitional Care Unit and an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee. Oden Marketing and Design announced several new employees. Lela Bellows Simpson has joined Oden as an account supervisor. She has worked for other firms such as Archer/Malmo and the Rutland Group. She is a graduate of Tulane University. Kelvin Green has joined the agency as an account manager. He formerly worked for Deeley Trimble & Co. in Atlanta. He is a graduate of Washington University. Jerry Plunk has joined Oden as a production art designer. He previously worked for Nike and FedEx. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis. Eric Fonville has joined Oden as information systems director. He formerly was information systems director for Design Group Inc. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University. Camille Stanley has joined Oden as a proofreader. She formerly was proofreader, editor and designer for Panamerican Consultants Inc. She has a masters degree from the University of Alabama and a bachelors degree from Jacksonville State University. Thomas M. Tweel has become associated with the law firm of Apperson, Crump & Maxwell PLC in its estate planning section. Tweel, who entered private practice in 1990, received a bachelors degree from Marshall University and a law degree from George Washington University. Jon Hudson was appointed general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott-Germantown. Hudson has served as general manager of the Holiday Inn-Convention Center in Tucson, Ariz. LaDon Jones has been named metro Memphis vice president at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. He most recently was director of student services at Baptist College of Health Sciences. He earned a nursing degree from BCHS and masters and doctorate degrees from the University of Alabama. Kim Margolis has been named director of developmental pediatrics in the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare Ambulatory Services Division. Margolis joined Le Bonheur in 1997 as an administrative resident. She has two masters degrees from the University of Alabama. Dr. Shannon McGee was elected president of the Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Association for 1999. Other officers include Lynn Svoboda, vice president/public relations, and Susan Moon, secretary-treasurer. Dr. Jerry G. Burch, senior partner in the Collierville Animal Clinic, was named Veterinarian of the Year by the Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Medical Association. Relitha Upton of Time Warner Cable Television was recognized by the Memphis/Shelby County Veterinary Association for building awareness of responsible pet ownership.
