Front St. Items include paperbacks for 10 cents, hardbacks for 50 cents, popular library books for $3, records for 50 cents per disc and videos for $5. Family Services of the Mid-South is seeking volunteers for its Crisis Center and has announced a training workshop for those who want to participate. The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Oct. 10. For reservations, call 274-7477. The center is a 24-hour suicide prevention and crisis intervention service. It is staffed by trained volunteers and last year fielded 16,000 calls. The Davis YMCA will host its annual river boat dinner cruise Sunday on the Memphis Queen Line. Boarding begins at 4:30 p.m., and the cruise lasts from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Individual tickets are $35 and available at the YMCA at 4727 Elvis Presley Blvd. For more information, call 398-2366. The Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association and the Memphis Home Furnishings Association will sponsor a golf tournament Tuesday at Stonebridge Golf Course, 3049 S. Davies Plantation Road. The Adoption Registration Coalition will sponsor its fourth annual registration day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble at Wolf Chase Galleria. The event is designed to publicize the International Soundex Reunion Registry, a non-profit mutual consent reunion registry for adults separated from relatives by divorce or adoption.
