Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis and Equitable are sponsoring the Equitable Two Player/Best Ball Golf Tournament on Aug. 21 at Wedgewood Golfers Club in Olive Branch, Miss. A luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m., and the tournament begins at 1 p.m. The cost is $150 per player. Sponsorship opportunities also are available. For more information, call Gary Baldwin at 278-2947.
The Shirley B. Anzaroot Cadillac Invitational Golf Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 30 at Ridgeway Country Club. Proceeds will benefit the National Kidney Foundation. More than 125 tournaments will be held nationwide, and the local winning foursome will have the opportunity to compete in the national playoffs in Pebble Peach. The entry fee is $250 per player. The Sales and Marketing Executives of Memphis will have its 1998 golf outing to benefit the Jack Wallace Scholarship Fund at the University of Memphis on Sept. 18 at the Big Creek Golf Club, 6195 Woodstock-Cuba Road.
