SCB Computer Technology will host a year 2000 seminar on March 3 at 3239 Players Club Parkway at Southwind. The seminar will have two sessions, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will explore the effect of the millennium change on organizations and discuss problem-solving strategies. U.S. Internet is sponsoring a seminar for small and medium-sized businesses designed to help them use the Internet to their advantage. The seminar will be at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Shady Grove and Poplar on March 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Local representatives from Mid-South Data Systems, Data Quest and Conaway Brown also will be available to discuss hardware and software integration, Internet security and using the Internet to enhance corporate marketing programs. The Service Corps of Retired Executives and Computer Tutors are coordinating the first SCORE Technology Conference, "How to Bring Your Business into the Computer Age," on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Memphis Hilton, 5069 Sanderlin. The topics include identifying needs, design and selection of hardware and software, training and assistance, and Internet needs and uses. The cost is $40. SCB Computer Technology Inc., through its subsidiary The Partners Group in Scottsdale, Ariz., has signed an agreement with the space and aviation control business of Honeywell Inc. Under the agreement, the Partners Group will provide service and support to facilitate the compliance conversion of year 2000-related requests. The initial phase of the agreement involves renovating and reintegrating Unisys issues related to the millennium change. The agreement extends through 1998.
