Larry Fogarty has been named director of managed care at Le Bonheur Childrens Medical Center Larry Fogarty has been named director of managed care at Le Bonheur Childrens Medical Center. He previously was director of operations for Le Bonheur. Fogarty received an undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis and a masters degree from the University of Alabama. Pickering Inc. has announced several new employees: Tim Crosby has joined Pickering as a senior project manager. He previously was president of the Crosby Group of Companies Inc. in Gettysburg and Hanover, Pa. He has a bachelors degree from Frostburg State University and a masters degree from the Catholic University of America. Matt Dowdle has joined Pickering Environmental Consultants Inc. as an environmental scientist. He previously worked for David B. Smith Engineering Inc. in Clarksville. Dowdle is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University. Anthony Powell has joined Pickering as a survey technician. He previously worked for Jackson Person and Associates as an AutoCAD manager. Bobby Williams has joined Pickering as a project architect. He was previously with Hnedak Bobo Group. Williams has an associate degree from State Technical Institute and a bachelors degree from the University of Memphis. Mary Schmitz has been named vice president of administration for the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau. She was formerly director of public relations at the Peabody Hotel and director of communications for the MCVB. Linda Sawyer has been promoted to vice president of administration and chief financial officer. Sawyer has been director of finance/administration at the MCVB since 1994. She is a graduate of Christian Brothers University. Thompson & Co. has announced several new employees: Meredith Boyd has joined Thompson & Baker, the agencys public relations division, as a junior account executive. She previously was a grant coordinator with the Shelby County Neighborhood Watch Program. She is a graduate of Rhodes College. Veena Paidipalli has joined the agency as an advertising assistant for Thompson & Price, the dialogue marketing division. She has a bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Gwen Horner has joined the agency has a media buyer. She formerly was a media buyer for AutoZone Inc. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis. Candy Uhlhorn has been named manager of health information management at the Methodist Alliance Extended Care Hospital. She previously was the quality review coordinator at Methodist. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Tamara Otey has been named home care supervisor for Methodist Alliance Health Services. Previously, she was a home care coordinator. Otey received her nursing diploma from the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. The Shelby County Health Care Corp. has announced several promotions: Readus "Rick" Smith was promoted to vice president of support operations. He previously served as director of support operations. Smith received a masters degree from LaSalle University and a bachelors degree from the University of Memphis. Bill Woods was promoted to director of support operations. He most recently served as assistant director of support operations. Lewis Fort has been promoted to director of facilities operations. Fort previously served as assistant director of facilities operations.
