MBA young lawyers MBA young lawyers to meet Thursday The Memphis Bar Associations Young Lawyers Division will host its annual meeting at the Rendezvous on Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At the meeting, the board of directors and secretary/treasurer for 1998 will be elected and announced, the Chancellor Charles Rond Award will be presented to the outstanding judge of the year and the Young Lawyers Division will present its gift to the Amy Spain Memorial Scholarship Fund. Voting booths will be available from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Any member of the MBA who is 36 or younger on Nov. 20 or has been licensed to practice law less than three years as of Nov. 20 is eligible to vote. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Absentee voting will be accepted from those unable to attend. Ballots must be faxed to the MBA offices no later than Wednesday at noon. The ballot must include a name and board of professional responsibility number for the vote to be counted.
