Calvary and the Arts Calvary and the Arts to feature jazz quintet The Jim Spake Jazz Quintet will pay tribute to jazz great Charles Mingus at Calvary Episcopal Church on Wednesday as Calvary and the Arts continues its 16th season. Calvary and the Arts offers free 30-minute concerts at noon each Wednesday through Dec. 10 at the church, located at the corner of Second Street and Adams Avenue. Lunch is available following each concert for $5. Lunch entrees are prepared either by guest chefs from Downtown restaurants or by the staff of Calvarys kitchen. Wednesdays lunch will be prepared by chefs from Automatic Slims. The staff of the Calvary Waffle Shop will prepare lunch on the last day of the series. Limited parking is available at Allright Parking lots at Adams Avenue and Third Street and at Jefferson Avenue and Second Street. The church will validate parking tickets. Lunch is served cafeteria style, and the Calvary kitchen staff is preparing beverages and desserts for each program. Other artists and groups featured during the series include the Reba Russell Band on Nov. 12; the Lyon College Pipes, Drums and Dancers on Nov. 19; the Gary Beard Chorale on Dec. 3; and the Memphis Chamber Choir and Boychoir on Dec. 10.
