Rosemarie Fair Stack was confirmed as the 1998 president of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors
Rosemarie Fair Stack was confirmed as the 1998 president of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors. Robin Hyde and Doug Collins were chosen secretary-treasurer and president-designate, respectively. The board of directors will include Stack, owner/broker, One Source Commercial Inc.; first vice president Bill Maury, vice president, Prudential Pride Properties; second vice president John Criswell, vice president/broker, Crye-Leike Inc.; Hyde, principal broker/co-owner, Hyde & Co.; and Collins, principal broker, Prudential Pride Properties. MAAR directors are Pat Beech, principal broker, Arlena Enos; Lee Carter, managing broker, Pyramid-Realtors; Barbara DuFour, affiliate broker, Marx & Bensdorf Real Estate and Investment Co.; John Linthicum, broker/manager, Crye-Leike Inc.; Dave McComas, president/chief executive officer, Henry Turley; Meredith McDonald, Realtor-associate, Hobson Co.; Isaac W. Northern Jr., principal broker/co-owner, Henry Turley/Northern Inc.; and Lila Saunders, broker, Hobson Co.
The Memphis Area Home Builders Association announced winners from its Vesta Home Show. Awards went to G. Douglas Co. for landscaping; Culler Construction Co. for foyer, special feature, home design, master suite and interior design; and Morris Home Builders for best kitchen. Best of Show awards went to Charter Oaks Construction, G. Douglas Co., Morris Home Builders and Culler Construction. Peoples Choice awards went to Nesta Custom Homes, Charter Oaks and Morris Home Builders. Home Tour Awards went to Ayres Construction and Heartland Homes in the $85,000 to $95,000 category; Grant Homes, Bowden Building and Skip Hobbs Construction in the $119,000 to $130,000 category; Bowden, Heartland and Vintage Homes in the $130,000 to $140,000 category; Vintage and Bowden in the $140,000 to $155,000 category; Terry & Terry Inc. Faxon Gillis Homes and David Parsons Construction in the $165,000 to $185,000 category; and Johnson Homes, Bruce Upchurch Homes Inc., Robert J. Denley Co. and Vintage Homes in the $185,000 to $200,000 category.
