The Memphis/Mid-South chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association and West Tennessee Legal Services are co-sponsoring a continuing legal education seminar on Sept. 26 at the Garden Plaza Hotel in Jackson, Tenn. Registration and lunch begin at 11:45 a.m., and the speakers begin at noon. U.S. Magistrate Judge J. Daniel Breen and Russell Reviere will speak on preparing for and representing clients in mediation. The cost for the one-hour program is $20 for FBA members, JMCBA members and pro bono volunteer attorneys and $25 for nonmembers. The American Law Institute-American Bar Association Committee on Continuing Professional Education is accepting nominations for the 1998 Francis Rawle Award for outstanding contributions to the field of post-admission legal education. The award committee will review all nominations for outstanding contributions in the form of publications, lectures, or creation or administration of programs. Recent specific contributions, contributions over a period of time, or career achievements will be considered. Nominations should be forwarded to the Rawle Award Committee, ALI-ABA, 4025 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, Pa. 19104-3099. All nominations must be received by March 6.
