The Memphis Zoological Society has announced two new employees:
Thomas OMalley has joined the zoo staff as the vice president of development and membership. He formerly worked as a fund-raiser for Resource Services Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis.
Diane Gilbert has joined the zoo as vice president of organization development. She formerly was an independent human resource consultant.
Joana Gatlin has been promoted to account executive at Chandler, Ehrlich & Co. She previously was a client services coordinator. Gatlin is a graduate of the University of Memphis.
NationsBank has announced several promotions:
Richard J. Feltus, real estate, and Richard D. Fitzwater, NationsSecurities, and James T. Gattis, NationsSecurities, received assistant vice president promotions.
Mary A. Powers, real estate banking, and Wayne L. Tacker, mortgage, received officer promotions.
Rick Roberts has been appointed public relations manager for the Peabody. He previously was public relations manager for the Regional Medical Center. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis.
Bill Bomprezzi Jr. has joined the Peabody as regional sales manager. Most recently, he was front office manager for the Holiday Inn Select Downtown.
Angeline Kern, principal of Cordova School, has been named the Tennessee Association of Middle Schools Administrator of the Year.
Dr. Haleh Vaziri and Dr. Paul Senese have joined the international studies department at Rhodes College. Vaziri, a specialist in Middle Eastern policy, formerly was a visiting professor at Averett College. Senese formerly served as assistant professor of political science and member of the graduate faculty at Vanderbilt University.
Gene M. Henry, a Ducks Unlimited volunteer from Wisconsin, was confirmed as president of the conservation organization and will serve a third consecutive one-year term. Matthew B. Connolly Jr. was confirmed as DUs executive vice president, a position he has held since 1987. Julius F. Wall of Clinton, Mo., was elected first vice president.
