On March 5, 1997, the Board of Professional Responsibility publicly censured attorney Warner Hodges III. The board found that Hodges represented multiple clients in a matter in which they had differing interests. Although there was no evidence that Hodges acted out of avarice or self-interest, when disputes arose among the clients, he continued to represent the clients without protecting their individual interest and did not advise the parties that they needed to retain separate counsel in order to protect their interests.
