The Memphis Bar Association will sponsor a seminar on jury selection and voir dire on Friday from 1:30 p The Memphis Bar Association will sponsor a seminar on jury selection and voir dire on Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at One Commerce Square. The seminar offers three hours of continuing education credit. Presenters include Julie Fenyes of Trial Consulting Services, attorney William D. Massey and Criminal Court Judge Chris Craft. Registration is $65 for MBA members and $79 for nonmembers. The Memphis Bar Associations annual picnic and golf tournament will be held Monday at Memphis Oaks Golf Course, 4143 E. Holmes Road. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. The picnic begins at 1 p.m. The cost is $45 for the tournament and $15 for the picnic only. The Memphis Bar Association will sponsor a seminar titled "Structural Alternatives for Health Care Provider Networks Issues and Trends" on Wednesday at noon at the Adams Mark Hotel. The seminar offers one hour of continuing education credit. The presenter will be Charles Key of the Bogatin Law Firm PLC. Registration before Monday is $25 for MBA members and $30 for nonmembers. The Tennessee Bar Association will sponsor seminars in Memphis on Sept. 19 and Sept. 20 titled "Legal Research on the Internet" and "Auto Torts: Preparing Your Case for Settlement and Trial," respectively. The seminars will be from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Radisson hotel. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The presenters for the Internet seminar will be Paul B. Billings Jr. of Glankler Brown in Memphis and James R. Moore of Moore, Brooks & Ragle in Knoxville. Advance registration for the Internet seminar is $60 for TBA Law Office Technology and Management Section members, $85 for TBA members, $110 for nonmembers and $25 for law office personnel. The presenters for the auto tort seminar include Daniel Clayton of Nashville, Gary Prince of Knoxville and Nora McCarthy of Chattanooga. Advance registration for the auto tort seminar is $160 for TBA members, $185 for nonmembers and $60 for law office personnel. For more information, call (800) 899-6993.
