The Public Relations Society of America recently accredited Ruth Ann Hale and Ginger Porter. Hale is communications director for Methodist Health Services, and Porter is manager of marketing and communications for the Memphis Zoo. Both are members of the Memphis chapter of PRSA.
Women in Communications will meet Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. at Spaghetti Warehouse, 40 Huling Ave. The speaker will be Denise Dubois Taylor, vice president of communications and public relations for the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Nashville/Mid-South region, is calling for entries for its 11th Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards. Entries must have aired during the period of July 1, 1995, through June 30, 1996, on a local television station or local franchised cable system in no more than 50 percent of the United States.
