The companys selection was based on 14,356 total transactions and $1.58 billion sales volume. At year end 1995, the company had 1,376 sales associates and 22 offices with an average home sales price of $110,372. National Relocation and Real Estate magazine surveys leading brokerage firms and publishes the results annually. Crye-Leike Inc. Realtors reported a record sales volume of $516.08 million for the second quarter of 1996. The volume is a 22 percent increase over 1995, according to president Harold Crye. Crye-Leikes 13 Memphis-area offices had a total increase of 15 percent with a sales volume of $331.1 million. The companys Nashville-area offices had an increase of 36.7 percent with a sales volume of $185 million. The firm currently has 835 sales associates in its 13 Memphis-area offices and 670 sales associates in its 11 Middle Tennessee offices. Mary Currie and Aline Wray of Coldwell Banker, The Memphis Group, Realtors, have been chosen as members of the companys Sterling Society an honor bestowed on the top 20 percent of the more than 55,000 Coldwell Banker sales associates throughout North America. The Mid-America Apartment Communities Inc. has announced that the board of directors has declared a second quarter dividend of 51 cents per share. The dividend is payable on July 31 to shareholders of record on July 24. Auctioneer John Roebuck has announced he will pay $100 to the first person submitting the best idea for using the landmark Justines restaurant, which is going to sell at auction on Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. If the idea is the one the buyer uses, Roebuck will pay the winning applicant $1,000. Suggestions must be received by today. Some suggestions already received include a bed and breakfast, a boarding house, another restaurant, wedding chapel, reception or corporate meeting facility, or an antique gallery.
