Marilyn McDonald, branch manager of Collateral Mortgage in Chattanooga, was elected secretary-treasurer. Directors include Jack Potts, assistant vice president of Home Federal Bank of Tennessee in Knoxville; Jim Oliver, executive vice president of TransFinancial Mortgage in Tullahoma; and Barbara Crenshaw, division manager of correspondent lending with Boatmens National Mortgage Inc. in Memphis. Directors who will remain on the board to finish their two-year terms include Amy Gardner, vice president of TransFinancial Mortgage in Jackson; Steve Smith, executive vice president of Southeastern Mortgage of Tennessee in Nashville; and Rick Wood, vice president of Financial Federal Savings Bank in Memphis. Mark VII Inc. announced that its shareholders have approved a proposal to change the state of incorporation of the company from Missouri to Delaware. As a result of the reincorporation, the company will be subject to a more clearly defined body of corporate law which will afford the company the flexibility and certainty it needs to operate effectively and efficiently, officials said. A series of six seminars will be presented today through Friday and on June 24 by the Institute for Executive Education at the University of Memphis. Each day-long seminar will deal with a distinct subject, including S corporations and closely held corporations, federal income taxation of trusts and estates, basic transfer and limited liability companies. The programs will be in the Fogelman Executive Center at the U of M from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. The basic fee for each course is $195. Call 678-2702 for more information.
