Crews have broken ground on the 825 N. Germantown Parkway location, which is strategically located near the Gameday Baseball Park in Cordova. The new restaurant will be the third Freddy’s in Tennessee, joining the Kingsport and Johnson City locations in East Tennessee.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, a fast-casual restaurant chain, is coming to the Memphis market. Franchise owner Tim Heeren recently applied for an $850,000 building permit at 825 N. Germantown Parkway in Cordova. He plans to raze an existing Pizza Hut and build up a 3,000-square-foot Freddy’s restaurant, the first in the Memphis market.

The Polo Shops retail center on Winchester Road in Southeast Memphis has sold for $3.1 million following a foreclosure.
An entity called TOP11 - 7444 Winchester RD LLC bought the property, whose addresses are 7444 Winchester Road and 7464 Winchester Road, in a Feb. 19 substitute trustee’s deed from R. Spencer Clift III of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC.

‘Good News’ for Housing in Second Quarter -

Shelby County’s housing rebound continued in the second quarter, with key indicators showing improvement over the same period last year.
Shelby County netted 4,226 home sales in the second quarter, an 11 percent bump from 3,821 in the second quarter of 2012, according to real estate information company Chandler Reports, www.chandlerreports.com.

First-quarter residential building permits in Shelby County tumbled for the second consecutive year, according to Chandler Reports, www.chandlerreports.com.
In the first quarter of 2007, 720 residential permits were filed. That's down 20 percent from the 901 filed in first quarter 2006, which is down 24.1 percent from the 1,187 filed in first quarter 2005.
