Shelby County homebuilders filed 142 permits during Q2 (April to June), down from 220 in Q2 2010, according to real estate information company Chandler Reports, www.chandlerreports.com.

Kendall Haney, owner of Kendall Haney Realty Group, already owned a business license for his Midtown-based real estate company. But when he filed another one May 22 for the Downtown Condo Connection, Haney joined a growing number of business license filers in the second quarter of 2006.
