There are big changes in store for Interim, the East Memphis restaurant where the constant has been change in its 12 years. Part-owner and acting executive chef Nick Scott is out and ownership remains with his former partners Tony Westmoreland, along with Brittany and Ed Cabigao, the couple who own SOB and Zaka Bowl.

ANF Architects will hold an opening reception for Jin H. Powell’s “See Me, Hear Me, I Am Human” exhibition Friday, Feb. 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at ANF, 1500 Union Ave. On display through March 9, Powell’s works tell the story of “comfort women,” women who were forced into sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. 20. New Brewery on Tap for Cooper-Young -

A new brewery is headed to Cooper-Young. 

Memphis native and craft beer enthusiast Drew Barton plans to open Memphis Made Brewing Co. LLC at 768 S. Cooper St. near York Avenue along with two other silent partners by mid 2013. The 6,000-square-foot space is adjacent to Signworks and owned by Richard Sullivan.

21. Loeb Renews Leases for Two Upscale Restaurants -

Two local restaurateurs and tenants of Loeb Properties Inc. have renewed leases.

Bill Latham, owner of Interim Restaurant, has renewed his lease for 4,957 square feet at Sanderlin Place, 5040 Sanderlin Ave. Carey White, Loeb senior vice president of asset management, brokered the deal.

22. Crye-Leike Sells Properties, Land At Feb. Auction -

Multiple properties in the Memphis area have traded hands as a result of an auction held by Crye-Leike Auction Services in February.

Kays Nawaf Employee Pension Plan sold three flex warehouse buildings at 4652 Damascus Road, 4660 Damascus Road and 4668 Damascus Road, ranging from 7,450 square feet to 10,160 square feet. There was a published minimum bid of $83,000 each.

When the restaurant Wally Joe closed in January 2007, owner Fred Carl Jr., founder, president and CEO of Viking Range Corp., decided to keep a restaurant going while looking for a buyer for the space in the shopping center at South Mendenhall Road and Sanderlin Avenue. Appropriately, the temporary restaurant would be called Interim.

Dominique Pryor-Anderson helps people put together party favors, stock their kitchen pantries and plan their vacations with an all-natural flair and a low-carbon footprint.

She is the owner and founder of Luxe Green Gifts & Concierge, a new business inspired by the birth of her daughter, Kiya. She and her husband, Tim, already had an organic lifestyle, but the birth of their child made them more committed to making eco-friendly choices.

Interim Restaurant opens today in the space formerly occupied by Wally Joe, the upscale restaurant at 5040 Sanderlin Ave. Earlier this month, Fred Carl Jr., founder and CEO of Viking Range Corp. and owner of the new restaurant, announced that Chef Wally Joe had left to pursue other interests. Carl plans to operate the restaurant on an interim basis while looking for a buyer for the space. For reservations, call 818-0821.
