The St. George’s Independent School Art Show takes place Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 9-11, at its Collierville campus, 1880 Wolf River Blvd. More than 50 local and regional artists will display and sell sculptures, paintings, mixed-media pieces and more. 5. Events - Friday, October 13, 2017

The 45th annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 13-15, in Audubon Park, at the corner of Perkins Road Extended and Southern Avenue. The largest juried arts and crafts show in the Mid-South features shopping, demonstrations, entertainment, children’s activities and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for seniors 60 and older, and $3 for children younger than 12. The Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association will host a continuing legal education seminar titled “Celebrating 51 Years of the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association” Thursday, Oct. 12, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Civil Rights Museum, 450 Mulberry St. The CLE will examine the state of the bar by analyzing cases handled by Ben F. Memphis Area Transit Authority officials formally opened the new Airways Transit Center Tuesday, Nov. 8, the same week consultants are hearing from the public about several options to change the MATA route system as well as the week a fare increase goes into effect.

26. FCC to Hold TV Switch Clinics - Friday, June 5, 2009

The Federal Communications Commission will hold clinics in Memphis in the coming days to demonstrate how to transition from analog to digital television and provide materials for consumers.

The national transition to digital television will be June 12. Consumers who use an antenna to get free, over-the-air programming could lose their television signals if they haven’t made their televisions DTV-ready.
