Lit Supply is opening its fourth Memphis location to better serve the community, the company announced Tuesday, May 23.

The new Lit Jr. is located at 3292 Austin Peay Highway. Lit stores, known for restaurant and kitchen supplies, has expanded to include a food division. All Lit stores are open to the public without a membership fee.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The House on Wednesday voted to freeze the wages of federal workers for a third straight year and put members of Congress on record as opposing a boost in their $174,000 annual salaries.

6. Lit Buys Former Chism Trail for $500K -

A partnership related to the Lit Refrigeration Co. restaurant supply stores has bought the former Chism Trail grocery store at 1665 Winchester Road in Whitehaven for $500,000. Operating in the transaction as Noble Partners Winchester LLC, the group bought the property Aug. 18 from Remark Chism and will open a Lit store at the site.

7. Design Review Board To Discuss 309 Union Signage -

The Center City Commission Design Review Board today will discuss a proposal to install a single-faced, LED component to an existing piece of signage at 309 Union Ave.

8. Design Review to Consider Three-Story Mixed-Use -

The Center City Commission Design Review Board today will consider a proposal for a construction project and two signage projects.

The construction project, Legends Park Commercial I, is a three-story, mixed-use building that will be built near the intersection of Poplar Avenue and Pauline Street.
