2. Midtown Property Switches Hands for $2.2M -

The vacant lot on Union Avenue where Sean’s Cafe & Smooth Moves juice bar once stood, will soon be home to the latest Pinnacle Financial Partners bank branch.

Property owner 1615 Union Development LLC sold the parcel for $2.2 million,according a July 13 warranty deed Monday for the former cafe lot. In conjunction with the purchase, new owners Balvinder Kumar and Jatinder Sharma took out a $1.5 million loan from Bank of Bartlett for the former drug store property.

3. Pizza, Donuts and Pinnacle Planned For Midtown -

1350 Concourse Ave., Memphis, TN 38104: Two local restaurateurs are looking to carve out their own slice of the Crosstown Concourse with the opening of Elemento’s Neapolitan Pizza.

4. Plans for Pinnacle Bank’s Midtown Branch Delayed Again -

Pinnacle Financial Partners is placing plans to build a new Midtown branch at 1615 Union Ave. on hold for a second month as the Nashville-based bank continues to work on a compromise with nearby residents.

5. Five Guys to Open 2nd Local Burger Joint -

Five Guys Burgers and Fries has inked its second Memphis-area lease – this one in Bartlett – and is close to solidifying two other locations, including one in Midtown.

Jubilee Restaurant Group LLC, owner of the Memphis franchise, has signed a 3,100-square-foot lease in Stage Centre. Five Guys is taking the subdivided end-cap of the 6,660-square-foot space formerly occupied by Blockbuster Video.
