Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development’s mobile Career Coach will be in Memphis on Monday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cossitt Library, 33 S. Front St. Career Coach staff will help people create resumes and register with jobs4tn.gov, where more than 90,000 jobs are available.

5. Senior Care Facility Holding Grand Opening March 30 -

A 16-bed geriatric psychiatric facility specializing in the care of seniors ages 65 and older is opening in Memphis March 30.

Behavioral Healthcare Center, an affiliate of Tennessee Health Management, is located on the campus of Harbor View Nursing Home, at 1505 N. Second St. It will serve as a short stay facility and stabilization hospital where both medical and psychiatric assessments and treatments are performed.

6. Memphis Economic Indicator Shows Business Optimism -

The results of the second Memphis Economic Indicator, a new survey measuring general business sentiment jointly produced by The Daily News and Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, reflect a modest overall improvement in optimism among business leaders compared to last quarter’s survey results.

7. Business Licenses Increase 4.9 Percent in Third Quarter -

Business licenses filed with the Shelby County Clerk’s Office in the third quarter rose nearly 5 percent over third quarter 2012, and increased even more compared to the second quarter this year, according to The Daily News Online, www.memphisdailynews.com.

8. Race for Tennessee -

Shelby County Republicans responded during the just-closed early voting period to a still-undecided race to be the party’s national challenger to Democratic president Barack Obama in November.

And Memphis Democrats responded to a hotly contested five-way race to decide the Democratic nominee for General Sessions Court clerk, one of only two countywide offices the party currently holds in Shelby County.

11. District Court to Implement Electronic Case Filing -

"Jan. 3 is game day," according to Thomas M. Gould, clerk of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, which operates in Memphis and Jackson.

That's the day Gould and his staff will find out just how good their preparation and planning have been for the final stages of transition from a paper-based court to a system of all electronic document processing and case management.
