Early voting in advance of the July 16 election day referendums on forming suburban school districts topped 1,500 through its first weekend.

A total of 1,530 citizens voted early through Saturday, June 29, with a strong showing Saturday at the three suburban locations that opened that day for the voting period that ends July 11.

A pair of related New York-based limited liability companies has bought two Memphis medical office buildings from related St. Louis entities.

ARC RNMPHTN001 LLC bought a medical office building at 1333 Poplar Ave. from St. Louis-based BanBan Midtown Memphis LLC for $2.9 million.

4. Commercial Sales Close 2009 on High Note -

Shelby County’s commercial real estate market saved its best for last in 2009, as the final month registered the highest sales total and largest dollar volume all year.

Not only that, but December marked the first year-over-year increase for a month during 2009 and the first year-over-year increase for a month since December 2007.

6. Renal Co. Completes Second Sale-Leaseback -

RAI II LLC, a local affiliate of Nashville-based Renal Advantage Inc., has sold its renal clinic at 1333-1341 Poplar Ave. in Midtown for $2.6 million to IPX Development 124 LLC, a company related to the St. Louis-based 1031 tax-deferred exchange qualified intermediary IPX Exchange Services Inc. The deal closed Dec. 30.

7. Whitehaven Clinic Sold, Leased Back by Renal Co. -

RAI II LLC, a local affiliate of Nashville-based Renal Advantage Inc., has sold its recently completed renal clinic at 4185 Pace Road in Whitehaven for $1.5 million to a St. Louis company called BanBan South Memphis LLC. The sale closed Dec. 17.

13. Renal Alliance Makes Second Memphis Purchase -

Franklin, Tenn.-based National Renal Alliance LLC has bought a vacant lot at 1200 Marlin Road in Whitehaven and filed a $1.3 million loan with First State Bank for the property. National Renal Alliance, which provides nephrology and dialysis services, bought the property in a special warranty deed for $200,000 from Marlin Lacey Mosby via Regions Bank.
