1. Council Approves Annesdale Mansion Development -

The Memphis City Council approved Tuesday, Oct. 16, a planned development at 1325 Lamar Avenue – the old Annesdale Mansion at Lamar and Snowden Circle.

2. Council Approves Non Discrimination Ordinance, Adds Resolution -

Memphis City Council members approved on third and final reading an ordinance Tuesday, Oct. 16, that forbids the city from discriminating in hiring, firing or promotion based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

3. City Council to Vote on Discrimination Ordinance -

With a legal opinion from City Attorney Herman Morris in hand, Memphis City Council members on Tuesday, Oct. 16, again take up an ordinance that would ban the city from discriminating in hiring and promotions based on sexual orientation.

4. Annesdale Mansion Listed for $1.2 Million -

Annesdale, commonly referred to as the Snowden Mansion, is on the market for $1.2 million.

Ed Beasley of Sowell & Co. Realtors has the listing, which includes the Italianate villa built in 1850 and seven acres of landscaped grounds. The mansion at 1325 Lamar Ave. is across the street from the University Club.

5. Snowden Mansion Contents Sold, Home’s Future Uncertain -

The contents of Annesdale, commonly referred to as the “Snowden Mansion,” were sold this weekend in an estate auction, but plans for the 1850s-era house and surrounding property have not been disclosed.
