On Nov. 6, it applied for an electrical construction permit for work on its Germantown building at 7691 U.S. 72.

With remodeling beginning at its new Shelby Oaks office this week, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare also is working on its Union Avenue facilities.

On Nov. 2, Turner Construction filed a $456,654 permit application for phase two of repairs, including the removal of bricks on the west side of the 1265 Union Ave. building to be replaced with stucco.

21. Methodist University Hospital Announces Renovation Plans -

Methodist University Hospital, 1265 Union Ave., says the hospital is filing a Certificate of Need with the Tennessee Health Services Development Agency for permission to renovate and expand its emergency department.

22. Paired Transplants Make Local Debut -

Tennessee’s first-ever paired kidney transplants, which involve living donors matched with patients through a national registry, were performed this week in Memphis by surgeons at Methodist University Hospital, 1265 Union Ave.

25. Methodist Opens High-Tech Cardiovascular, Neurovascular Centers -

Methodist University Hospital will unveil its new state-of-the-art Neurovascular and Cardiovascular Centers Tuesday with a 4 p.m. ribbon cutting.

The centers are part of the Cardiovascular Institute, a partnership between Methodist University Hospital, the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Columbia HeartSource, and the Methodist University Hospital Brain and Spine Institute.
