4. Local Magazine Invincible to Make Public Debut -

A new local inspirational magazine, Invincible, will be publicly unveiled on Friday, May 25, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hyatt Place Memphis, 1220 Primacy Parkway.

6. Investors Group Meeting Features Asset Protection -

The Memphis Investors Group will host a meeting Thursday, Sept. 8, featuring real estate investor Dyches Boddiford, a renowned author and speaker on the subject of asset protection.

Slated topics include structuring entities to protect assets and minimize taxes. Boddiford will provide an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of various entities, such as “C” & “S” corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and land trusts, while explaining how these entities can benefit business and real estate-investment portfolios.

8. Too Early to Tell How Council Approach Has Changed -

Some things changed and some remained the same for the new Memphis City Council this week. And some remain to be seen.

The twice-monthly council sessions usually mean some long Tuesdays at City Hall - at times 12 hours or more starting with committee sessions at around 8 or 9 in the morning.
