4. 100 N. Main Owners Buy Additional Property -

80, 86, 88 N. Main St., Memphis, TN 38103: Less than a month after the 100 North Main Building was effectively reclaimed by the lender at a foreclosure auction, New York-based real estate firm Townhouse Management Co. affiliate THM Memphis Acquisitions LLC has purchased adjacent parcels.

5. DCA Planning to Add Community Amenities To Downtown HQ -

Creative communications consulting firm DCA has submitted plans to the Downtown Memphis Commission for some upgrades and new community-oriented amenities at its South Main headquarters.

DCA founder Doug Carpenter bought the 100-year-old former Nabisco warehouse at 11 W. Huling Ave. last April and relocated the firm there in December.

Doug Carpenter, founder and principal of the creative communications consulting firm DCA, has bought a historic Downtown building he will convert into his company’s new office.

Originally built as a National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) distribution center, the circa-1910 building sits on roughly half an acre at 11 W. Huling Ave. in the South Main Arts District.

44th annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair will be held Friday through Sunday, Oct. 14-16, in Audubon Park, at the corner of Perkins Road Extended and Southern Avenue. 12. Civil Rights Museum Highlights Lorraine Hotel’s Storied History -

The balcony is usually the part of the National Civil Rights Museum’s exterior that is the center of attention.

Visitors know the mid-20th century wrought iron railing and other features of the post-World War II Lorraine Motel’s motor court. It’s usually from pictures and videos of the April 4, 1968, assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on a second-story balcony outside room 306.

13. CB Richard Ellis Brokers Four Multifamily Sales -

The multifamily group at CB Richard Ellis Memphis has closed on the sale of four properties in the Memphis market over the last several weeks.

Briar Club Apartments, a 272-unit apartment community constructed in 1985, sold for $8.7 million, or $32,093 per unit. Cinnamon Trails Apartments, a 208-unit apartment community constructed in 1989, sold for $8.6 million, or $41,461 per unit. respectively. CBRE Memphis represented the sellers, Briar Apartments LLC and Cinnamon Apartments LLC in the sale to New York based Briar Club LLC and Cinnamon Trail LLC.
