The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors’ May sales data show sales continuing to rise.
There were 3,558 closings, up 15.6 percent from last May. In comparison, there were 1,783 closings in May 2009. So closings have almost doubled since the Recession. And, as everyone knows, inventory has dropped dramatically.

4. New Apartment Owner Files Loan on Property

The new owner of the Hunter’s Ridge Apartments at 3108 New Allen Road in Raleigh has filed a $1.2 million deed of trust, assignment of leases and rents and security agreement through Texas Capital Bank. The loan closed Jan. 7 but wasn’t recorded with the Shelby County Register of Deeds until last week.

The Hunter’s Ridge Apartments at 3108 New Allen Road in Raleigh sold back to the lender following the property’s second foreclosure in three years. Hunters Ridge Property Holder LLC, an entity related to lender USAM I FUND LLC, bought the 141-unit complex for $1.2 million Oct. 30 on the Shelby County Courthouse steps.

7. Raleigh Apartment Complex Sells for $1.6 Million

The Hunter’s Ridge Apartments at 3108 New Allen Road in Raleigh has sold for $1.6 million to Decatur, Ga.-based Phineas Group LLC.
The seller was U.S. Bank NA, which acquired the 142-unit complex in 2005 in a substitute trustee’s deed after foreclosing on the property’s previous owner, Divinity Properties LLC. That company had defaulted on a $2.3 million trust deed dated December 2000.
