1. Wolf, Offense Look To Prove Predictions Wrong -

It’s championship or bust for Tennessee senior tight end Ethan Wolf.

Bowl victories are nice. So are nine-win seasons. But Wolf wants a lot more in his final season with the Vols.

“Our goal here at Tennessee every single year is to win a championship, and that’s going to remain the goal,” Wolf says. “Yeah, there may have been a little bit of excitement the first year, maybe the second year winning the bowl game. It’s always exciting, but that’s the bare minimum right now.”

2. City Council Approves Colonial Conversion, Vintage Trolley Purchase -

One of two golf courses at Colonial Country Club would give way to houses under a planned development approved Tuesday, Jan. 19, by the Memphis City Council.

The council approved a development that would turn the north course at Colonial into either a mix of single-family homes, townhouses and cottages or a mix of housing for senior citizens.

3. Central Station Project Relies on Local Institutions -

At $55 million, the proposed redevelopment plan for Central Station that debuted last week isn’t quite the “vertical village” that Crosstown Concourse is. The price tag, all except $3 million of which is private financing, is about a quarter of the $200 million cost of Crosstown.

4. Overton Park Compromise Takes Shape -

The Overton Park parking plan isn’t a compromise just yet. There are still details to be worked out and a big difference in the price estimate of a Memphis Zoo parking garage.

Memphis Mayor A C Wharton Jr.’s plan is to have some kind of agreement in place by the time shuttle service between the park and the Overton Square parking garage begins its month-long trial June 7.

5. Wharton Memo: Overton Greensward Parking Could End In June -

Memphis Mayor A C Wharton Jr. is exploring two options for parking at the Memphis Zoo that would end overflow parking on the Overton Park Greensward by the first week in June.

A memo from Wharton dated Saturday, May 17, obtained by The Daily News says the city agrees that the overflow parking on the lawn “is not the highest and best use of the space”
