6. Group Buys Former Matthews Bros. Building -

A group of financial advisers named 138 Timber Creek LLC has bought the office building at 138 Timber Creek Drive in Cordova for $1.2 million. The new owners acquired the property – formerly the corporate headquarters of Matthews Brothers Homebuilders – in a Nov. 14 special warranty deed from InSouth Bank.

There's a new twist in the Matthews Brothers Homebuilders saga: The company's embattled principal Mark Matthews surfaced last week with a new entity, Residential Construction & Real Estate Management LLC.

8. Two Foreclosures FiledAgainst Mark Matthews Dev. -      A substitute trustee on behalf of Bank of Bartlett has filed two first-run foreclosure notices against Mark Matthews Development LLC for allegedly defaulting on loans through the bank.

9. Two Matthews Bros. PropertiesSell at Foreclosure Auction -      Two properties tied to Mark S. Matthews were bought by INSOUTH Bank at a foreclosure auction last week after the borrowing entities - of which Matthews is president - defaulted on loans through INSOUTH.

A first-run foreclosure notice was printed in Friday's issue of The Daily News for property at 138 Timber Creek Drive in Cordova, the current location of Matthews Brothers Homebuilders' corporate office.
