6. Group Buys Former Matthews Bros. Building -

A group of financial advisers named 138 Timber Creek LLC has bought the office building at 138 Timber Creek Drive in Cordova for $1.2 million. The new owners acquired the property – formerly the corporate headquarters of Matthews Brothers Homebuilders – in a Nov. 14 special warranty deed from InSouth Bank.

There's a new twist in the Matthews Brothers Homebuilders saga: The company's embattled principal Mark Matthews surfaced last week with a new entity, Residential Construction & Real Estate Management LLC.
