1. NCAA to Honor CBU for Academic Excellence -

Christian Brothers University, after posting a successful Academic Success Rate, will be honored with an Academic Excellence Award by the NCAA.

As part of the Division II Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence program, now in its fourth year, CBU will be honored after seeing a graduation success rate of 90 percent among its student-athletes. CBU earned this distinction with more than 20 other Division II institutions for achieving four-year athlete graduation rates of 90 percent or higher.

3. Panera Trying New Pay-What-You-Want Experiment -

ST. LOUIS (AP) – Order a bowl of turkey chili at a St. Louis-area Panera Bread cafe and it'll cost you a penny. Or $5. Or $100. In other words, whatever you decide.

Three years after launching the first of five pay-what-you-want cafes, the suburban St. Louis-based chain on Wednesday quietly began its latest charitable venture that takes the concept on a trial run to all 48 cafes in the St. Louis region.

4. Warren Named Bursar At University of Memphis -

Carol Warren has accepted the position of bursar in the Division of Business & Finance at the University of Memphis. Warren is a graduate of the University of Memphis and has experience in student financial service operations working for the U of M previously as the assistant bursar. Before joining the university, Warren spent several years in the Loan Division at First Tennessee Bank.
