Senior officials from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services are visiting Memphis this week to study a community-wide implementation of an integrated faith-health strategy.
Officials hope to gain further understanding of how the Memphis model can be replicated in other communities across the nation.
5. Simpson Joins FirstBank As Local President

Ted Simpson has been hired by FirstBank as its Memphis city president.
Simpson previously served as executive vice president and chief lending officer for Magna Bank and has experience with National Bank of Commerce and Central Park Capital. He also is currently on the board of Lambda Alpha, a real estate professional organization.
