The Palazola name has been associated with produce in the Bluff City for more than a century.

In 1974, Mike Palazola founded M. Palazola Produce Co., a wholesaler and distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables to restaurants and institutional food service establishments in the Greater Memphis area, but his grandfather before him had delivered produce around the city out of his truck.

This is a follow up to the Board of Adjustment decision last month to delay any action on approving the other annexes of the business for 30 days.

19. Majestic Grille Owners to Take Over Beale Street Landing Restaurant -

The owners of The Majestic Grille will take over operations of the restaurant at Beale Street Landing starting in June, the Riverfront Development Corp. announced Monday, May 8.

Deni and Patrick Reilly plan to operate the restaurant from June through Oct. 31 as a pop-up restaurant called “The Front Porch.”

Primacy II, a 123,265-square-foot East Memphis office building at 6055 Primacy Parkway, has sold to Nashville-based Priam Capital for $16.6 million.

Primacy II, a 123,265-square-foot East Memphis office building, has a new owner thanks to a huge $17 million deal.

Nashville-based Priam Capital purchased the office building located at 6055 Primacy Parkway near the intersection Ridgway Road and Park Avenue from The Southland Companies for $16.6 million, according to a warranty deed filed with the Shelby County Register of Deeds April 11.

The number of commercial sales in Shelby County dipped in the first quarter when compared to last year but the average sale amount and total sales revenue surged ahead of 2014 levels, according to real estate information company Chandler Reports.

A Memphis law firm has inked a new lease at a prominent East Memphis building, pushing the office property toward total occupancy.

The Miles Mason Family Law Group PLC has inked a lease for 2,700 square feet in the Atrium I building at 6800 Poplar Ave.

How much is a 21-story skyscraper overlooking the Mississippi River worth? About $1 million a floor.

New York-based investor Jacob Sofer will pay Parkway Properties around $20 million for the Raymond James Tower at 50 N. Front St. Downtown, according to several people with knowledge of the transaction. The Shelby County Assessor of Property’s 2014 appraisal for the 340,000-square-foot building is $24 million.

Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. has confirmed what The Daily News first reported in December: It will play a key role in the development of a massive outlet mall in Southaven.

33. Trustmark Bank Opens Headquarters in East Memphis -

Trustmark Bank has officially opened its new regional headquarters location in East Memphis.

The regional headquarters opened at the 5350 Poplar Ave. office building, which has been renamed Trustmark Centre. The bank acquired naming rights as a part of the 12.5-year lease Trustmark Corp. signed in November.

34. Pahlow Wins Broker of the Year -

After enduring early struggles in his commercial real estate career, Scott Pahlow has reached the top of his industry.

Pahlow, an executive vice president with Newmark Grubb Memphis, was named Commercial Broker of the Year Thursday night at the Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council’s 13th annual Pinnacle Awards gala.

35. Ignite Memphis Doubling Event Capacity -

Ignite Memphis, an event at which Memphis creatives give a series of slide-based presentations on a range of diverse topics, sold out its gathering in November.

That’s why the next incarnation of Ignite is more than doubling its venue capacity by moving from Crosstown Arts to Playhouse on the Square, where 12 speakers next week will challenge, inform and perhaps inspire the crowd that’s come to hear them.

The little Memphis pizzeria that could will soon be opening a new location in Jackson, Tenn.

The Rock’n Dough Pizza Co., owned by Jeremy and Amanda Denno, is slated to open a new restaurant and microbrewery at the Jackson Walk development in Jackson in October. The Dennos will team up with veteran local brewer Ben Pugh to create signature suds at the 4,100-square-foot restaurant.

The Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council has grown and evolved over the past nine years since its inception, with membership increasing from 150 members in 2004 to more than 350 members this year.

Alliances were formed, events were debuted and, of course, a few joints were shuttered.

The idea of allowing car traffic on the Main Street Mall Downtown was panned at the first public hearing held by the Center City Commission this week.

But most in the crowd of 50 who attended were far more emotional as they trashed the operation of the Memphis Area Transit Authority’s Main Street Trolley that runs along the mall.
