Why did you pursue a career in real estate? I think I received my dad’s “love of the land.” I also love working with people. The creative side of land development as well as the “deal” side of helping buyers and sellers on transactions is a good fit for me.
What have been your most rewarding professional accomplishments? Being able to work in a wide variety of land deals, ranging from subdivision development to buying and selling of farm and hunting land. Along with that, helping people realize their goals in those areas.
What do you most enjoy about your work? Being outside with people (i.e. NOT in the office).

Lucian Pera of Adams and Reese LLP has been appointed as a special adviser of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Strategic Communications for a one-year term.

5. St. Jude Names New Communications Exec -

Mary Lynn Carver, who formerly was the global head of group internal communications at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals’ world headquarters in London, has been named senior vice president of public relations at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

6. Peace is a Jam Session Not to Be Missed -

I don't consider myself a religious person - at least not in recent years - but I do have a favorite prayer that serves as the last bastion of my Catholic upbringing.

It's attributed to St. Francis of Assisi. Born in 1181 or 1182 in Italy, St. Francis is the founder of the Franciscan Order of priests. He would have been my patron saint if I'd ever made my confirmation, one of the seven sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church. The others include baptism, confession, communion, marriage, holy orders and last rites.

7. BRIDGES Revs Up PeaceJam Initiatives -

In mid-April, students from rival schools Mitchell High and Frayser High gathered together on the Frayser campus, writing messages and quotes about peace and harmony on small scraps of paper they placed inside inflated balloons.
