2. Pegg Named Fleet Manager For Explore Bike Share -

Jon Pegg recently joined Explore Bike Share as bike fleet manager as the local nonprofit prepares for the May 23 launch of its 600-bicycle, 60-station bike-share system. Pegg comes to Explore Bike Share from Revolutions Bicycle Co-Op, where he served as shop manager.
In his new role, Pegg manages Explore Bike Share’s mechanic team, directs volunteers, teaches community members, performs warehouse duties, and interacts with bike share users and community groups.

3. Rivals Manning, Spurrier Enter College Hall of Fame Together -

NEW YORK (AP) – After the class picture of the latest Hall of Fame inductees was taken, Peyton Manning made his way over to Steve Spurrier for another handshake and some chit-chat before heading off in opposite directions to do media interviews.

4. 3 U of M Athletes Among Ashe Award Semifinalists -

Three University of Memphis student-athletes are among the top 20 male and female semifinalists for the 2017 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar Award.

The semifinalists, recently announced by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine, include Memphis’ Andrew Watson (tennis), Cheyenne Creighton (women’s basketball) and Lindsey Stickrod (softball).

6. Manning, Spurrier Enter College Football Hall of Fame -

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) – Peyton Manning and his Southeastern Conference nemesis, former Florida coach Steve Spurrier, will go into the College Football Hall of Fame together.

The rest of the new Hall of Fame class of 13 players and coaches announced Monday includes Southern California Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart, San Diego State running back Marshall Faulk and Danny Ford, who coached Clemson to its only national championship.

7. Manning, Spurrier Debut on College Hall of Fame Ballot -

Peyton Manning and his old college football nemesis, Steve Spurrier, could enter the Hall of Fame at the same time.

Manning, who lost to Spurrier's Florida teams three times as starting quarterback for Tennessee, along with the retired Head Ball Coach are both making their first appearance on the College Football Hall of Fame ballot.
