Many TennCare patients who fall in the “Daniels” category may lose their benefits as early as October because of a 21-year-old injunction being lifted against the state Medicaid-managed program.
To qualify for the Daniels class of TennCare, a person has to have received, at least once, a Supplemental Security Income check, meaning they were low-income and had a relatively serious disability.
