6. Brentwood Funeral Services Buys Kimbro Funeral Home -

Brentwood Funeral Services, a Memphis-based holding company with funeral homes and cemeteries in Mississippi and Tennessee, has bought Kimbro Funeral Home of Marks, Miss.

The acquisition announced Tuesday, Nov. 27, makes Brentwood the fourth-largest funeral provider in the Mid-South.

15. City Councilman Buys Munford Funeral Home -      Memphis City Councilman Brent Taylor and his wife, Kimberly, have bought Munford Funeral Home. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed and calls to Taylor were not returned by press time.
