1. Dayco Wins Tax Break For Distribution Operations -

Michigan-based manufacturer Dayco Products Ltd. will consolidate its distribution operations in the Memphis area, but exactly where remains undecided.

“Due to the continued growth in demand for our products and increased product complexity over the past several years, we have committed to this significant capital investment in order to deliver increased value to our customers,” said Ed Rammel, president of the North American and Australian Aftermarket for Dayco, in a company statement.

2. Homer Skelton Wolfchase Dealership Sells for $8.5 Million -

An entity whose manager is president of Acura of Memphis has paid $8.5 million for the Homer Skelton Wolfchase Hyundai auto dealership at 7727 U.S. 64 in Northeast Memphis.

Umansky Properties WH LLC – led by Danny Umansky of Acura of Memphis – bought the 48,085-square-foot property in a May 7 special warranty deed from First Tennessee Bank NA, trustee of the Homer D. Skelton Inter Vivos Trust, u/t/a dated March 28, 2000.

3. Wolfchase Auto Dealer Site Sells for $4M -

A Wolfchase auto dealership facility is officially changing hands and names.

First Tennessee Trust Department has bought the 48,085-square-foot auto dealership formerly known as Cadillac SAAB of Memphis, 7727 U.S. 64, for $4 million.

Two Saturn dealerships in West Tennessee have filed a lawsuit in Memphis federal court against Homer Skelton Auto Sales LLC for marketing itself as the “official Saturn buy-back dealer.”

8. Homer Skelton Acquires Price Ford Property -

First Tennessee Bank N.A., the trustee of the Homer D. Skelton Inter Vivos Trust, has purchased the land at 9030 U.S. 51 N. in Millington, the location of the Price Ford dealership, for $2.35 million.

9. Homer Skelton Buys Wolfchase Dealership -

Car dealer Homer Skelton has bought the former Wolfchase Chrysler/Plymouth/Jeep dealership at 3020 N. Germantown Road in Bartlett for $3.3 million from Chrysler Realty Co. LLC. Skelton made the transaction with First Tennessee Bank NA acting as trustee under the Homer D. Skelton Inter Vivos Trust dated Nov. 14, 1988. The deal closed May 23.

10. Homer Skelton Buys Millington Dealership -

Longtime auto dealer Homer Skelton has bought a 32,020-square-foot auto dealership at 7661 U.S. 51 N. in Millington for $1.3 million. The sale closed May 21.

Skelton made the purchase with First Tennessee Bank NA acting as trustee from Shelton E. Harrison and Brucene H. Harrison.
