Memphis Redbirds infielder Greg Garcia earned the St. Louis Cardinal organization’s Player of the Month honors for May after batting .361 with 11 multi-hit games.

Garcia, 25, had four doubles and drove in 12 runs during May. The Redbirds finished the month by winning 10 of their last 13 games, including an eight-game winning streak. Garcia had a .421 on-base percentage in May, reaching base in 23 of 27 games.

7. AutoZone Park Ranked No. 2 Among Minor League Parks -

When AutoZone Park opened in 2000, with an exhibition game against the St. Louis Cardinals, it was the undisputed best ballpark below the major leagues. Before the first pitch was ever thrown, everyone from then-Cardinals manager Tony La Russa to then-beloved slugger Mark McGwire raved about the gorgeous new ballpark at Third Street and Union Avenue.

Cardinals alumni expected to attend include Alan Benes and Cal Eldred. Broadcaster Mike Claiborne will serve as emcee.
