4. Struggling Titans Step Up Their Game for Mularkey -

The biggest positive for the 2015 Titans is that they continue to fight.

Their record – 3-9 – is terrible, not a marked improvement over last year’s 2-14 debacle. But the Titans have not folded on a regular basis, as they did a year ago when they lost nine games by two touchdowns or more.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Democratic state Rep. Joe Armstrong of Knoxville has been indicted on federal fraud and tax evasion charges connected to an increase in the state's cigarette tax in 2007.

Dr. Neil Bomar has joined Support Solutions as its first staff psychiatrist, a role in which he will help individuals with intellectual disabilities and those with a history of long-term mental illness who are currently supported by the organization. Bomar’s addition makes Support Solutions one of the only industry providers in the Mid-South to provide this level of support.

13. Styles Blend at Opus One Concert -

Call it “Million Dollar Beethoven” or “Whoop That Shostakovich.”

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra’s conductor-less, style-mixing Opus One concert series takes on the crunk music of Al Kapone in its season opener. The Nov. 10 concert to be held at the New Daisy Theater is the first time in symphony history that the orchestra has performed on Beale Street.

Marshall joined Methodist in 2004 as the director of the Transplant Institute at Methodist University Hospital.

Shelby County Mayor AC Wharton Jr. and former assistant city attorney Dorothy Osradker have been selected for the Rotary Club of Memphis East's Bobby Dunavant Public Service awards. Wharton has served in local governments for more than 20 years, and Osradker served in city government for 61 years.
