Part-owner and acting executive chef Nick Scott is out and ownership remains with his former partners Tony Westmoreland, along with Brittany and Ed Cabigao, the couple who own SOB and Zaka Bowl.

On Monday, May 15, at Memphis International Raceway, 16-year-old Harrison Burton made a testing run on the track that on June 3 will be the site of the Memphis 125.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) – You can feel the spirit of George Eastman in Antonio Perez's office.

A picture of Eastman, who founded Kodak in 1880, sits among the current CEO's collection of family photos. The outer areas of Perez's office, built and first inhabited by Eastman about a century ago, include some of Kodak's Oscar and Emmy awards, along with a collection of historic photos. A large portrait of Eastman, who died in 1932, hangs near the entrance.

Years of grueling medical training had taken a toll on Brad Somer, an oncologist and hematologist with The West Clinic in Memphis.

“I had gotten really out of shape,” he said as he popped a grape in his mouth during a break at the Mid-South cancer treatment center.

16. McWherter Gives $1M to His Tenn. Gubernatorial Bid -

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Democrat Mike McWherter is giving his Tennessee gubernatorial bid $1 million, his campaign confirmed Tuesday.

McWherter, a Jackson businessman and son of former Gov. Ned McWherter, is one of two Democrats remaining in the race to succeed term-limited Gov. Phil Bredesen. The current fundraising period ends Wednesday.

17. Gubernatorial Rivals Blast Haslam on Gun Stance -

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Bill Haslam's rivals for Tennessee's Republican gubernatorial nomination are finding ammunition in the Knoxville mayor's position on guns.

Senate Speaker Ron Ramsey of Blountville and U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp of Chattanooga, both vocal supporters of gun rights, are targeting Haslam's support for a Knoxville City Council vote earlier this week that keeps in place a ban on handguns in city parks, playgrounds and sports fields.

18. Local Businessman to Head State Insurance Group -

Brad V. Smith, president of Cecil Smith Insurance Agency in Germantown, was elected president of Insurors of Tennessee. Smith has served on the association's board of directors and executive committee for 12 years. He won the group's Chairman of the Year award in 2004 and Insuror of the Year award in 1992.
