The Orpheum Theatre announced Jim Perrin has been named vice president of development. Perrin previously served as the president of Junior Achievement of Memphis & the Mid-South Inc. In his new position, he will oversee the Orpheum's fundraising efforts, special events and other projects.

John Theus has a lot of energy. He has to. In addition to the three young children he and wife Alison have at home, Theus also has four jobs.
That's right, four. At the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), he is an assistant professor of pathology, associate director of cell therapy, director of the clinical pathology survey rotation for fourth-year pathology students and, most recently, the newly named blood services medical director for the Greater Ozarks/Arkansas Region of the American Red Cross. He replaced Dr. Glen Baker in that role July 1. Baker had held the position since 1990.
