1. Justices Could Limit Recovery in Securities Fraud Cases

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Supreme Court on Tuesday seemed willing to make it tougher for the government to recover ill-gotten gains from people convicted of securities fraud.
Most of the justices – including newly confirmed Justice Neil Gorsuch – suggested during argu-ments that such recoveries are subject to a strict five-year statute of limitations.

The league renewed its deals with ESPN and TNT even though two seasons remain on the old ones. With potential competition from Fox looming, both networks were willing to pay generously to secure the rights long term.
