1. Taylor Joins JA As VP of Development -

Latoria Taylor has been named vice president of development for Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South. She oversees all fundraising and marketing efforts for the nonprofit, which is dedicated to teaching children “how business works” and inspiring them to own their economic success.

2. Milford Joins Chamber As Programming, Events Director -

Ericka Milford recently joined the Greater Memphis Chamber as director of events and programming, a job in which she’s responsible for planning and executing chamber events and programs and for increasing engagement opportunities for members and the community. Milford’s new role marks her return to the chamber, where she served as events coordinator from 2007 to 2012 before taking a job with HigherVisibility.

5. Stanifer Takes On Creative Role at Hollywood Feed -

Hollywood Feed has promoted Katherine Stanifer to graphic art manager, a role that includes serving as the lead graphic designer for brand assets for the retailer’s 50 locations across the Southeast. Stanifer works closely with Hollywood Feed’s director of advertising & creative, Billie Claire Darby, on a variety of projects ranging from internal training videos to monthly sales catalogs.

6. Redeemers Group to Open Little Rock Office -

Redeemers Group, a Memphis-based specialty contractor, is preparing to expand with the opening of an Arkansas office in January.

Redeemers Group, which specializes in mold prevention, crawl space encapsulation, basement waterproofing and foundation repair, acquired 7,734 square feet of office and warehouse space at 224 W. 13th St. in North Little Rock on Dec. 1, according to a release.

The location will allow the company to increase its footprint in Arkansas while better serving their current customers in the area.

8. County Law Library Director Johnson Celebrates 50 Years as Librarian -

Gary Johnson, director of the Shelby County Governmental Law Library, is celebrating his 50th year as a librarian. In his current role, he directs the county law library’s operations, including budgeting, staffing and library services, and reports to a 10-member board that include nine attorneys and one judge. 
When asked about his longevity in the field, Johnson says the libraries where he’s worked – which include public, school and law libraries – have been different enough to keep him challenged and interested. 

9. FedEx Express’ Brown Named To Savoy’s ‘Power 300’ List -

Shannon A. Brown, senior vice president and chief human resource/diversity officer at FedEx Express, has been named to Savoy Magazine’s Power 300: 2016 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors list. Brown, who was honored as a member of the BancorpSouth Inc. board of directors, also holds board memberships with several universities and nonprofit organizations in the Mid-South and beyond.

12. Hampton Named Exec. Director of SRVS -

Tyler W. Hampton has been named executive director of SRVS. He previously served as director of operations and director of finance for the agency.

Hometown: Dyer, Ind., but raised in Houston, Texas.
